Wood Venetian Blinds

Basswood is our primary timber species for venetian slats -- selected for its dimensional stability, fine grain and paint-hold properties. 25mm and 50mm slat widths are available in both corded and cordless configurations. Cord-lift systems use durable nylon ladders; cordless mechanisms are engineered to align with child-safety requirements common in the US and Australian markets.

PVC Venetian Blinds

PVC slats are extruded in-house on our own production lines -- the same vertical manufacturing capability that underpins our plantation shutter profiles. The compound formulation is controlled internally, which means wall thickness, UV stabiliser loading and surface finish are consistent batch to batch. PVC is appropriate for environments with higher humidity where timber slats would be at risk of warping.

UV stability note: Our PVC compound includes UV stabiliser loading, but prolonged direct outdoor exposure is not recommended. These products are designed for internal window applications.

Wood suits residential interiors where natural aesthetics are a priority and humidity is controlled. PVC is the practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial installations where moisture resistance and ease of cleaning are more important than grain appearance. Confirm maximum width requirements at enquiry stage for either material.

Each venetian blind ships with a matched headrail and operating system. We stock multiple headrail profiles and component combinations so that wholesale buyers and project specification teams can standardise across their range without mixing supplier hardware.

  • Cord-Lift with Tilt Wand

    Standard corded operating system with a tilt wand for louvre angle control. Nylon ladder tapes in coordinated colours. Suitable for commercial and residential wholesale applications where manual operation is specified.

  • Cordless Lift & Tilt

    Cordless mechanisms are engineered to align with child-safety requirements common in US, Canadian and Australian markets. The blind raises and lowers by hand pressure at the bottom rail; tilt is managed by a short wand. Suitable for specification by project builders and residential distributors operating in regulated markets.

  • Multiple Headrail Profiles

    Standard and low-profile headrail options in PVC and aluminium. Headrail colour is matched to the slat finish. Valance / fascia board can be included for a finished appearance on exposed-headrail installations. OEM buyers can specify custom headrail profiles for private-label ranges.

  • Channel Suitability by Buyer Type

    Wholesale and distribution partners typically carry both corded and cordless SKUs. Window and door companies integrating venetian blinds as an add-on product line often standardise on cordless for residential-grade installs. Cut-Down Service --
Your Exact Dimensions.

Goodwood offers a factory cut-down service for wholesale and distribution customers who need venetian blinds supplied to client-specific width and drop measurements. Rather than shipping stock-width blinds that require resizing in the field, we cut and re-cord to your specified dimensions before dispatch.

  1. Submit Dimension Schedule

    Provide a spreadsheet or order form with width and drop per unit. Standard tolerance is ±2mm on width after cut-down.

  2. Factory Precision Cut & Re-cord

    Slats are cut on dedicated machinery, then ladder tapes are re-threaded and the bottom rail re-weighted to the new dimension. The headrail is cut and re-capped to match.

  3. Individual Pack & Dispatch

    Each cut-to-size unit is individually labelled, packed and ready for direct-to-site delivery or re-distribution from your warehouse. No field re-cutting required.

Cut-down service is available for both wood and PVC venetian blinds across 25mm and 50mm slat widths. Minimum cut-down width and the relationship between slat width and minimum blind width will be confirmed during your enquiry.
