Both timber and PVC venetian blinds are produced in-house -- slat extrusion, machining, finishing and assembly on the same factory floor. Selecting your material is a specification decision, not a supplier decision.

Operation Methods
& Hardware Options
All operation configurations are available across both timber and PVC product lines. Combinations can be specified per SKU within the same order.
Cord Lift (Standard)
Traditional cord-lift and tilt-wand mechanism. The default configuration for most wholesale orders -- cost-efficient, widely compatible with existing hardware catalogues and easy to service in the field.
- Available in both 25mm and 50mm slat widths
- Separate lift cord and tilt wand, or combined pull-cord tilt
- Cord colour and length configurable per order
Cordless Lift
Spring-loaded cordless mechanism -- blind raises and lowers by hand pressure on the bottom rail. Compliant with child-safety cord regulations in the US, Canada, Australia and the UK, making it the preferred specification for residential and childcare projects.
- Meets child-safety cord requirements (US, CA, AU, UK)
- Tilt-wand retained for slat angle adjustment
- Available in both 25mm and 50mm widths
Headrail & Valance Configurations
Aluminium headrails in standard and deep-profile options. Matching valance covers available in PVC snap-fit or metal-clip-on styles. Face-fix and top-fix brackets included; side-fix available on request.
- Standard and deep-profile aluminium headrail
- Matching valance: snap-fit PVC or metal clip-on
- Face-fix and top-fix brackets standard; side-fix on request
Bottom Rail Weights & Finish
Aluminium bottom rails supplied with matching end caps. Weight options -- standard, weighted (for wide-span stability) and slimline -- can be specified per SKU. Painted, anodised and matching-material finishes available.
- Standard, weighted, and slimline options
- Matching end caps included; custom colours available
Ladder Tape Option
Fabric ladder tape is available as an alternative to the standard lift-cord-only ladder. Tape conceals the lift holes for a cleaner face appearance. Particularly popular on 50mm timber slat products for the residential market.
- Conceals slat lift holes for cleaner appearance
- Fabric colours matched to slat finish on request
- Best suited to 50mm timber; available on 50mm PVC
Custom Hardware & OEM Configs
Private-label headrail branding, custom tape colours, proprietary slat profiles, and packaging under your brand name are available to qualifying wholesale partners. Regional exclusivity can be discussed for sufficient volume commitments.
Operation Method -- Quick Reference
Separate tilt wand + lift cord. Standard configuration. No regulatory restriction in commercial contexts. Lower per-unit cost.
Push/pull on bottom rail to raise/lower. Mandatory under child-safety legislation in several key markets for residential use. Tilt wand retained.
If supplying residential or childcare markets in US, CA, AU or UK -- specify cordless by default to avoid compliance issues. Contact us to confirm current regulatory requirements for your market.
Trade Channels &
Supply Flexibility
Venetian blinds from Goodwood are produced exclusively for trade buyers -- wholesalers, distributors, window & door companies, and project procurement teams. The following outlines how each channel typically sources and what we accommodate.
Wholesale & Distribution
Primary supply channel
Wholesale distributors are our primary buyers for venetian blinds. We support mixed FCL containers -- venetian blinds can ship alongside plantation shutters and window shades from the same factory in the same container to simplify logistics and reduce per-unit freight cost.
- Cut-down resizing service: Pre-cut to your stocked width increments, reducing in-warehouse labour for your team.
- Replenishment orders: Small-batch air-freight replenishment available between container orders to avoid stockouts.
- Private label packaging: Your brand name and barcode on poly-bag and carton; no Goodwood branding visible to your customers.
- Territory exclusivity: Regional exclusivity is available on qualifying annual volume -- discuss during the initial enquiry.
Window & Door Companies
Window and door manufacturers and retailers increasingly bundle venetian blinds as an add-on product line. Goodwood can supply under your brand or as a plain white-label product. Lead times and MOQ requirements can be structured around your installation schedule rather than container economics.
- Made-to-measure batches: Order to exact window dimensions per job lot -- eliminates in-house cutting.
- Cordless pre-specified: We can default all output to cordless for residential compliance with no premium uplift on full batches.
- Combined shipments: Ship venetian blinds with plantation shutters in the same container for single-project supply.
Project & Construction Procurement
High-volume, schedule-driven
Apartment, villa and commercial fit-out projects typically require large quantities of a single specification delivered on a fixed completion schedule. We support project orders with confirmed lead times, phased delivery against construction milestones and sample approval prior to production.
- Pre-production samples: Signed-off sample set before bulk production is confirmed.
- Phased delivery: Production and shipment scheduled in tranches to align with site-readiness stages.
- Consistent batch colour: Colour-matched production across the full project run -- not first-in-first-out stock.
Custom Production & Cut-Down Service
Resizing & made-to-order
We offer both made-to-order (production at specified dimensions) and cut-down resizing (stock-width blinds trimmed to your specified widths before shipment). Cut-down is available for wholesale distributors who stock standard-width product and resize at point of sale -- receiving pre-cut goods reduces warehouse labour and minimises wastage.
Blinds are manufactured at a standard maximum width, then trimmed to the widths you specify before packing and shipping. This allows distributors to carry fewer SKUs while still offering customers a wide size range -- and eliminates the need for in-warehouse cutting equipment. Width increments and packaging labelling are configurable per your requirements.
Frequently Asked
- What is the minimum order quantity for venetian blinds?
- MOQ is flexible depending on the supply arrangement. Container-fill orders are most economical, but we support mixed FCL loads combining venetian blinds with other product lines, and small-batch air-freight replenishment between container orders. Contact us with your volume requirements to confirm arrangements.
- Can I order cordless as the default operation on all units?
- Yes. For wholesale or project buyers supplying residential markets in the US, Canada, Australia or UK, we can pre-specify cordless operation on all units in an order without a per-unit premium for full-batch orders. Confirm at the specification stage.
- What is the difference between made-to-order and cut-down?
- Made-to-order means production begins at your specified dimensions. Cut-down means we produce at a standard maximum width and trim to your specified widths before packing. Cut-down suits distributors stocking standard-range widths; made-to-order suits project buyers with fixed window dimensions.
- Are both timber and PVC produced in the same factory?
- Yes. PVC slats are extruded in-house on Goodwood's own extrusion lines; timber slats are machined on CNC centres in the same facility. Assembly, finishing and QC are on the same factory floor, so mixed material orders can ship together and quality standards are applied consistently across both lines.
