25mm & 50mm Slat Widths.
Custom Cutting Available.
Both slat widths are manufactured from the same outdoor-grade PVC compound on dedicated production lines. The choice between 25mm and 50mm is driven by window size, light-control preference and market convention -- not by material capability differences.

Custom Cutting & Re-Sizing Service
For wholesale distributors who supply cut-to-size or stock a range of standard widths, we offer factory-level cutting and re-sizing on both 25mm and 50mm PVC slat stock. Finished edges are treated to maintain slat integrity. Please specify maximum and minimum dimensions, quantity breaks, and packaging requirements at the enquiry stage.
Where PVC Outperforms Wood.
The Compound Logic.
PVC Venetian Blinds are not simply a lower-cost alternative to wood -- in certain environments they are the technically correct choice. Understanding the compound formulation and its limitations helps buyers specify the right product for the right application.
Outdoor-Grade PVC Compound
Standard commodity PVC slats can exhibit two failure modes over time: plasticiser migration (slats become brittle or tacky) and chalking / powder bloom (surface degradation under UV). Our PVC compound specification addresses both through stabiliser selection and UV-inhibitor loading. We do not publish specific formulation data as it is proprietary, but we can share material safety data sheets and provide pre-production samples for your own evaluation before committing to a full order.
Recommended Application Environments
Where PVC Has Limits
PVC slats have a narrower practical maximum width than wood due to the material's weight-to-rigidity ratio at larger spans -- confirm maximum span requirements during the enquiry stage. For dry interior environments where a natural timber aesthetic is the primary brief, our Wood Venetian Blinds may be a better fit. Both product lines can be combined in a single FCL shipment.
Child-Safety Cord.
A Non-Negotiable for Most Markets.
Cord-strangulation risk from window blind operating cords has been subject to mandatory regulatory action in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. For wholesale buyers in these markets, child-safety cord compliance is not optional -- it is a baseline requirement for retail distribution. We manufacture to accommodate these requirements.
The Window Covering Manufacturers Association standard (now backed by CPSC enforcement) requires that corded window coverings sold in the US meet specific cord-length, cord-stop and tensioning requirements. Cordless designs are the simplest path to compliance. We can manufacture both cordless and cord-with-safety-device configurations to align with this framework -- confirm your specific distribution channel requirements at the enquiry stage.
The UK introduced mandatory requirements for internal blinds under the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) and Blind Cord Safety regulations. BS EN 13120 sets performance requirements for internal blinds including cord-safety provisions. Compliance typically requires specific cord-break-force limits, cord stops, or cordless design. We understand these requirements and can manufacture accordingly -- specific compliance documentation should be confirmed with our team before order placement.
AS/NZS 2088 is the joint Australian and New Zealand standard for internal blinds, covering safety requirements including cord-strangulation risk. The standard has been updated to align with international child-safety expectations and is referenced by the ACCC in Australia. We are familiar with the requirements and can produce cordless or cord-safety-device configurations to align with AS/NZS 2088 -- confirm with our team at the specification stage.
What We Can Produce -- A Practical Summary
The table below summarises the cord-safety configurations we are equipped to manufacture. It is not a certification claim -- it is a description of production capability. Buyers are responsible for confirming which configuration satisfies the specific regulatory and retail-channel requirements in their target market.
| Configuration | Description | Relevant Markets | Available |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cordless Lift | No exposed operating cord. Spring-tension or friction mechanism. Simplest compliance path for child-safety regulations. | US, CA, AU, NZ, UK, IE | Yes |
| Cord + Safety Device | Cord-lift with integrated cord-stop or cord-tensioner that limits free-hanging cord length per applicable standard requirements. | US, UK, AU, NZ | Yes |
| Wand Tilt Only | Tilt operated by rigid wand; no looped tilt cord. Eliminates tilt-cord strangulation risk while retaining cord-lift for raise/lower. | All Markets | Yes |
| Standard Cord-Lift | Conventional exposed cord-lift without safety device. Suitable for commercial/non-residential applications where child-safety regulations do not apply. | Commercial / B2B | Yes |
Important: The information above describes our manufacturing capability and general awareness of applicable standards. It does not constitute a certification claim or a guarantee of regulatory compliance for any specific market or distribution channel. Child-safety cord standards are subject to revision and enforcement varies by jurisdiction. Buyers must verify current applicable requirements with their own compliance, legal and retail-channel teams before placing production orders. We are happy to discuss specific requirements and provide pre-production samples for your evaluation -- please contact our team to begin that conversation.
Common Sourcing Questions
Can I order both 25mm and 50mm in the same container?
Yes. Mixed FCL loading across slat widths, colours and cord configurations is standard. We can also combine PVC Venetian Blinds with our Plantation Shutters or Window Shades in a single shipment.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ varies by configuration and whether you are ordering stock sizes or custom-cut. We accommodate both FCL mixed loads and smaller air-freight batches for replenishment. Share your requirements and we will advise on practical minimums.
Can you supply pre-production samples before a full order?
Yes. We strongly recommend requesting physical samples -- particularly for colour confirmation and compound evaluation -- before committing to production quantities. Contact our team to arrange a sample set.
What documentation can you provide for compliance purposes?
We can provide material safety data sheets, production records, and pre-shipment inspection reports. For market-specific compliance documentation (e.g. ANSI/WCMA declarations, AS/NZS test reports), discuss requirements with our team at the specification stage so we can advise on what is feasible.
How does PVC compare to wood for Venetian Blinds?
PVC is the right choice for moisture-heavy environments and where low maintenance is a priority. Wood offers a natural aesthetic and is preferred in dry residential settings where appearance drives the specification. See our Wood Venetian Blinds page for a direct comparison.
Is private-label / OEM packaging available?
Yes. Custom packaging, brand labelling, proprietary headrail profiles and custom colour collections are available. Regional exclusivity is available for qualifying wholesale volume commitments. Discuss your requirements with our team.
